Safety First
A reminder to our Mount Horeb Farmer's Market visitors!!
When joining us from the east heading west on Main Street, PLEASE do one of
two things: park in back of the church in either the church or municipal lots.
There is a nice grassy right of way along the west side of the church where
the children’s playground is located which is a very pleasant, short hike
directly up to the Market. Otherwise, if you park on the north side of Main
Street heading west, please walk to the two formal pedestrian crossings at
either end of the block.
Traffic on Main Street at our time of day often includes tractor trailers, large
farm equipment, and people heading home from work often dealing with
sunshine and fatigue. We care for your safety! For those needing easier
access from the parking lots, there are sidewalks on South Fourth and
Third Streets and there is Public Parking at the Chamber of Commerce
across the street near the public crossing west of the Market.
The Village has installed orange flags at this crossing to increase visibility for patrons using this crosswalk. There are also two spaces reserved for persons with disabilities in front of the Evangelical Lutheran Church’s main entrance on Main Street marked by yellow sandwich boards. Patrons seem to find our side walk configuration to be accommodating to those with walkers, wheelchairs and for young families with strollers.
Also, the wonderful lawn has become a gathering place and we know that community parents will be there to ensure that joyous fun and safety prevail!
Thank you for your ongoing cooperation and support!! We value your
patronage!!

Please Note: As of April 2022 there are no special covid policies in place - beyond the common-sense directive to please stay home if you're experiencing symptoms! Should that change, we will share that information here.
